  • To All Members, when visiting the Club at any time please remember that:

    Members are NOT PERMITTED to open the bar door for ANYONE; the bartender on duty is the sole person who is allowed to open the door or ask someone to open the door for someone outside.

    All members must show their card to the bartender before being served; have the bartender on duty sign you in if you do not have your card with you.

    When you bring a guest(s) in, you must sign your guest(s) into the book and your guest(s) must leave when you do. ABC rules allow for a maximum of nine guests per visit.

    Rules are established by the NJ Alcoholic Beverage Control, we have no say in these rules, and we must adhere to these rules, or we will face fines and other actions by the NJ ABC.

    Reminder: No Smoking, Vaping, or use of E-Cigarettes while in the bar. This is a violation of NJ State Law and is a Club rule. If you wish to smoke, you must do so outside on the patio or away from the hall entrance. Thank you!

    		• PLEASE CONSIDER HELPING THE GARRITY FAMILY | Jim Garrity, Jr. has been a member of Trenton AOH Msgr. Cream Division #1 for many years as was his late father, Jim Sr. In January, Jim's wife Barbara was placed on the Liver Transplant List at the University of Penn in Philadelphia. There are two parts of the process to find a liver for Barbara. Unfortunately, one is to get a liver from a deceased person which is why she is on the national list. The other is to find a living donor. Only a portion of a living donor's liver is removed which will grow back to normal. The small piece that is placed in the recipient will grow to its normal size. The University of Penn setup a micro-site for Barbara [see the link below] that has her story and information on becoming a living donor if someone wishes. Our division is helping get the word out to as many people as possible.

    		The next Division Meeting is scheduled to take place on April 18 at 7:00 P.M. The monthly meetings are about events taking place at the club, becoming informed about our shared heritage and issues that affect the Irish both here and abroad. Please consider coming out and sharing an evening with your brother Hibernians.

    		150th RUN FOR THE ROSES | Join us on Saturday, May 4th for the 150th Running of the Kentucky Derby. Members and their guests are welcomed to come as you are or dress up in your best derby attire to celebrate this fun event! No dress requirement, just a requirement to have FUN! Women wearing Derby hats will receive a rose for the "Run for the Roses". Mr. Fred York and guests will provide insights and angles for races that day. This years entertainment will also include a LIVE podcast with host Sean Miller of Capital Sports Network as well as odds, analysis, and predictions for the Derby.

    Running of the 3rd Annual Charity Human Horse Race around 5:00 pm with all "bets" (donations) this year to benefit the Hibernian Athletic Association. Come out and cheer on your favorite human horse and support the children & families of the Hibernian Athletic Association soccer teams.

    Lots of Fun for everyone - Doors open at noon; Derby post time is 6:57 pm. We will be offering 3 signature-themed drinks for the race - Mint Juleps, Gold Rushes and Boulevardiers.

    		• SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY | The Ancient Order of Hibernians Msgr Crean Division 1 is seeking applicants for the Martin J. Conway Memorial Scholarship. The Scholarship Committee will be selecting local scholars/athletes to receive one $2,500 scholarship.

    Criteria:
    1) must rank in the top 10% of his/her class
    2) must have earned a "varsity letter" in a school sanctioned activity
    3) must be college-bound
    4) must apply before May 31st, 2024
    5) Applicant must be the son/daughter OR grandson/granddaughter of an AOH division 1 member.

    In addition to these criteria the student must submit an essay with the title "How sports or any other sanctioned extracurricular activity has influenced my life". Applying students should also submit a detailed list of their qualifications including his/her accomplishments and achievements throughout their high school years, and community & volunteer activities. An official school transcript and two letters of recommendation are also required. The scholarship recipient will be notified in the beginning of June, 2024.
